Born in Johannesburg, S. Africa, he came to Greece in 1981, at the age of two.
He studied law and theatre in Athens and London. Starting in 2002, he worked for two years with Giannis Argyris in Esperides nightclub.
He got involved in amateur dramatics as a member of Afroditi Parzakoni’s “Expression and Communication Group” under the auspices of the Cultural Centre of Municipality of Cholargos.
He has taken part in theatrical productions, among others, like: THE SEVENTH STATION Pirate Belafousk's secret (dir. by T. Ligari), Synchrones Maties sto Archeo Drama (Contemporary Glances at Ancient Drama) by Aliki Alexandraki, Ta leme sto dialima (See you at the Break) by Gregoris Chatzakis and Blanching by Zoe Ksanthopoulou.
Giannis Diamandis has also worked in the cinema with director Giorgos Nousias in To Kako stin Epochi ton Iroon (Evil in Times of Heroes), and with Giorgos Pitsakis in the film Psechos (Frost).
He is a founding member of Bankit.gr, an artist website which organizes festivals for new artists. |
