BOBAN JASAREVIC
Musician - Violin


He was born in Yugoslavia, in the small town of Leskovats (South Serbia). In 1985, he graduated from the Violin Department of the Music Academy of Serajevo after studying with renowned Professor Gino Sagrestano. He has lived in Serajevo and worked for the Symphony Orchestra, the State Television (RTS) and the Philarmonic Orchestra of Serajevo. He was also a member of a chamber music quartet (Sarajevska Kamerata), while at the same time he got ivolved in ethno music and collaborated with numerous groups and singers, taking part in their album productions.

In 1994 he comes to Athens and creates the "Balkan Express" group, with which he gives concerts touring around Greece. He also works for various Greek TV channels in productions like Skia tou Polemou (Shadow of War, Mega Channel), Istera Irthan I Melisses (Then Came the Bees, ET1 State Channel), Sin ke Plin (Plus and Minus, NET State Channel), Moussiki Ekpombi (Music Show, Antenna Channel).

He has also worked as an actor and composed part of the soundtrack for Dimitris Spirou's film Dream against a white background, which was premiered in the Thessaloniki Film Festival.

Since 1998, he and pianist Nole have been taking part in productions of T. Ligari's "Treno sto Rouf" Railway Theatre.
