Born on Mitilini island, he graduated from P. Katselis Drama School in 1976. His debut was with the Mikro Theatro (Small Theatre) of Kipseli in G. Hortatsis's Katzourbos. He worked with S. Evangelatos's Amphi-Theatre for twelve years, until 1988. He then worked for ten years with the Greek National Theatre. He has also worked with the Municipal Theatre of Veria. All these years, he has participated in more than 70 performances of works by Aeschylus, Euripides, Aristophanes, Menander, Shakespeare, Moliere, Brecht, Strindberg, Lope de Vega, Shaw, Dostoievski, Rossini, Orwell, Koromilas, Ionesko, Homer et al.
He has taken part in the Festivals of Epidaurus, Athens, Philippi, Thassos, Dodoni, Delphi, Demetria, Nations, Sofia, Edinburg, London, Moscow, Sidney, Rome, Melbourne, Berlin, Zurich, Tbilisi, Israel, Nicosia, Denver (Colorado) et al.
He has appeared in 10 performances of the TV theatre show "To Theatro tis Defteras" (Monday Theatre) and in serials Vamena Kokina Malia (Red Dyed Hair), O Ios tou Patera (His Father's Son), Fthinoporini Erastes (Autumn Lovers), Pios Ine o Kirios Alexiou (Who Is Mr. Alexiou), Alexios Kalergis, Eksi Psemata ke Mia Alithia(Six Lies and One Truth) and he hosted the first (yearly) show of "Games Without Frontiers". He has also participated in G. Stamboulopoulos's and V. Vafeas's films and has played in more than 30 theatrical plays for radio broadcasting.
