After the last year’s great success of Paris - Constantinople - Bagdad music show we embark again on the famous Orient Express train starting from Gare de l'Est in the cosmopolitan Paris to continue our musical journey to distant Baghdad. New songs and melodies from the 1930s and the 1970s, with stops in the cities that the mythical train made travelling across Europe to reach Constantinople. From the bustling Paris to the restless Berlin, romantic Venice and Budapest, Bucharest and Belgrade , neoclassical Athens as the melodious Sofia. After a 2,740-kilometer train journey we arrive in the sensual Constantinople of the spies and the emigre, rest for a while at the Pera Palace and then by boat we pass the Bosporus reaching the Asian coast.
Taurus Express, the legendary train, awaits us at the Haydarpasa station to offer us a journey to the one thousand and one nights of the enchanted East until we reach Baghdad. A colorful mosaic of landscapes, people and cultures unfolds through unexpected musical stories from Smyrna, Adana and Eski Sheikh, Damascus and Aleppo in Syria, Haifa, Beirut in Lebanon, Cairo in Egypt, Tehran in Iran , Euphrates River and Mosul to Baghdad in Iraq.
Edith Piaf, Charles Aznavour, Maurice Chevalier, Renato Carosone, Kurt Weill, Nino Rota and Attik, Giannidis, Chiotis, Mouzakis, Chatzichristos, Verka Siderova, Sabah al Fakhri and Fairouz are only some of the famous artists we will meet on our journey.
