Broken Fingers are an Athenian jazz quartet, whose repertoire is based mostly on compositions of the guitarist George Daskalakis.
Created in 2009 in Amsterdam, it has appeared in various dutch music stages and also greek jazz festivals at Kalamata and Agrinio. Since 2013 Broken Fingers regularly perform at various athenian music stages.
The group consists of the guitarist George Daskalakis, the saxophonist Marios Valinakis, the contrabassist Kostas Patsiotis and the drummer Christos Konstantinidis.
Composition, intense improvisation and experimentation based on both traditional and modern jazz are the characteristics of the quartet’s approach to musical expression and interpretation.
Broken Fingers will perform compositions from their album “Cyclothymia” as well as unpublished pieces with influences from the European and modern jazz scene.
