Starting its successful course in 2008, the Children’s Stage of the Train at Rouf Railway-Theatre is now one of the most acclaimed children’s theatres in Athens.

For theatrical season 2010-2011, Petros Hatzopoulos, following the great tradition of Agatha Christie’s mystery novels, offers his brand new work for children and grownups; Mystery in Tundra Expresshas found the most suiting place for its staging at the The Train at Rouf Railway-Theatre.

The playwright –awarded with the First State Prize for Children’s Literature and the First Prize by the Cycle of Children’s Books for his novel The Disappearance of DorothySnot­­– is none other than the well-known Greek writer Auguste Corteau.

Featuring children’s well-loved hero Cornelius Creek (the world’s most famous squirrel-detective) as the protagonist, Martha, his barmy firefly assistant and a cast of unforgettable characters, the play, full of suspense and hilarious comedy, is about greed, love and the fascinating search for Truth.

Children have a unique chance to experience “travelling” on the actual wagons of the Train at Rouf, to see the motor engine, issue tickets, visit the Wagon Restaurantand visit the Train Theatre Store with all its pretty train souvenirs and many many surprises!

Our talented, experienced cast is sure to give a marvelous performance of this exciting, exhilarating play.
