November loves Mozart! The Canto Lirico cycle starts with a set of performances dedicated to Mozart and his contemporaries. From the era of Classicism in music, we select famous arias from Mozart’s colorful musical palette, interpreted by talented artists of the Greek opera scene.

December finds us in the mood for celebration! The Orient Express Musical Wagon will be filled with arias from beloved operettas as “The Bat” by Johann Strauss II, “The Godson” by Theofrastos Sakellaridis, “The Apaches of Athens” by Nikos Chatziapostolou, and “The Merry Widow” by Franz Lehar etc.

We welcome 2017 with a scent of Italy! The musical program is dedicated to Italian Romanticism and includes arias with the witty humor of Rossini, the dramatic passion of Verdi, the realism of Puccini, as well as light-hearted canzonets.
February and… “The sounds of happiness”

The magical moment when musical theatre met the sounds of Jazz in the first half of the 20th century gets a life in our musical rendezvous with the “Sounds of happiness”. Renown opera artists remind us melodies from shows adored by Broadway and Hollywood, like “Porgy and Bess”, “Kiss me Kate”, “The sound of happiness”, “Mary Poppins”, “My fair lady”, “South Pacific”, “West Side Story” written by composers as Cole Porter, Leonard Bernstein, George Gershwin etc.
March and… “Arias on the shore of the Seine”
1, 8, 15, 22, 29 Μαρτίου, 9.30 μ.μ.
Spring finds us in the mood for Paris! The musical program of March takes us on the shore of the Seine, through French chansons and arias by composers who lived in Paris as well as operas set the City of Light, among them “Traviata”, “Carmen”, “Manon” interpreted by renown opera singers.
