“Lovers on the canvas” is a hymn to eros and the eternal female. A hymn to passionate, illegal love, which brings both rejuvenation and death. A hymn to the “muse” as a source of art and hedonism.
Two personifications will bring to life the feelings and fate of millions of lovers-muses: Rafaelo’s muse, Fornarina and Amedeo Modigliani’s model, Jeanne Hébuterne. Their stories are the History of Art. You have to scratch the canvas to find the truth. You have to scratch the wounds to find the woman.
