The Young Artists Festival “The 12 Compartments" for the 13th year invites young artists from all forms of Art (Theater, Music, Dance, Visual Arts, Photography, Cinema, Video Art, etc.) to create short performances (10-30 minutes) and present them daily for fifteen days from May 18 to June 1, 2025 at the Railway Carriage Theater to Treno sto Rouf.

In this year's festival, participating artists (actors, directors, musicians, composers, choreographers, dancers, visual artists, video artists, etc.) are invited to focus on Man, explore the fundamental reality of human existence and highlight the path that the human entity charts to get to know itself in the exciting route of life from the starting point to the terminal. Encounters, intersections, transitions, branches, reversals and challenges shape the evolutionary course of humanity through time. Today, the rapid acceleration of technology and artificial intelligence requires us to go hand in hand with the universe of emotions, speech, imagination and empathy.

Since 2011, the world's only cultural railway festival envisioned by its Artistic Director Tatiana Ligari, has hosted and promoted more than 1,000 individual artists and art groups, creating a vibrant core of youthful expression, experimentation and creative collaboration. The festival takes place in the special carriages of the Railway Carriage Theater and on the outdoor stage of the Apovathra and offers a unique experience to artists and audiences to coexist in an unexpected and unconventional space.

The selection criteria for performances include:

• Mixing the arts
• Collaborations and experimental compositions
• Originality
• First presentation of performances at the Festival

New artistic groups and individual creators wishing to participate can submit their proposal to the address theater@totrenostorouf.gr entitled "13th Festival The 12 Compartments", including:

• Extensive description of the project and sample text (if included)
• Audiovisual material from previous works (if any)
• Biographies of performers and contributors
• Photographs
• Tel. Communication

All projects will be presented on a daily basis in a rolling schedule and for a continuous 15-day period from 19:30 to 23:30.

Deadline for submission: Friday 21 March 2025

The selection of the final participants will close on 2 April 2025
