After 24 years of continuous and successful operation of the Railway Carriage Theatre to Treno sto Rouf, the world's only railway multi-site of culture stationed at the Rouf railway station in Athens, the AXANA Artistic Company with the kind help of the Non-profit Foundation for Social and Cultural Projects ( K.I.K.P.E.) offers a cultural "trip" to every corner of Greece under the title "Art-Wagons".

"Art-Wagons" is an online cultural program with an entertainment character offered free of charge to children and teenagers living mainly in remote mountainous or island regions of Greece and/or to children with disabilities, aged between 7 and 15 years, and aims to acquaintance with the world of Arts for the further development of their personality and skills.

It is a creative exploration in Dance and Music through two online workshops that take place in terms of distance asynchronous education

I. Musical Travelers on the theme of Music for children with special educational needs, aged 7-12 years.

The program lasts from October 4, 2021 to June 5, 2022 and includes 6 laboratory cycles. Each cycle lasts 5 weeks.

1st cycle: 4/10 - 7/11/2021

2nd cycle: 8/11 - 12/12/2021

3rd cycle: 13/12 - 19/12/2021 & 10/1/2022 - 6/2/2022 (20/12/2021 - 9/1/2022 Christmas & New Year holidays)

4th cycle: 7/2 - 13/3/2022

5th cycle: 14/3 - 17/4/2022

6th cycle: 2/5 – 5/6/2022

Each child, a passenger of this cultural "trip", by signing up for the program, chooses the cycle (travel dates) he wants, gets his "ticket" (his personal code), boards the "Art-Wagons" and navigates during the 5 weeks in 5 video-stations receiving information and material in the form of videos, texts, images, sounds, etc. under the guidance of qualified instructors-"drivers". He is then asked to work on simple requests required in every video-station, to experiment, express himself, discover and finally become the creator of his personal online artwork. The topics included in each station and the way they are presented are attractive, easy to understand, contain the element of play and surprise and at the same time are designed with the interests and capabilities of the specific age groups in mind.

Upon completion of the "journey", a virtual train is created, which consists of the "wagons", i.e. the works of the child-passengers that are connected to each other in a digital composition in the form of videos, puzzles, etc.

To participate in the workshops, no prior involvement in Music or Dance is required. All child-passengers who complete the workshop receive a certificate of completion of the "Art-Wagons" program.
