Constantine Cheimarios Quartet

modern jazz with ethnic influences

on Wednesday, January 25th 2017

at 21.00 inside the Theater Wagon

“Deeper Reflections” is the title of the project presented by the 25 year old guitarist Constantine Cheimarios with his quartet Constantine Cheimarios Quartet on Wednesday, the 11th of January at 21.00 in the Railway Carriage Theater to Treno sto Rouf.

The project involves personal compositions expressing his musical ideas for the creation of aesthetics without stylistic limitations. How can we express our social and inner reflections, our thoughts and sentiments through music? Then the music expressing them should have no limitations and restrictions, just like the human mind…

Core of the project is modern jazz aesthetics with ethnic influences from the Arabic, Eastern and Greek music.

Constantine Cheimarios works with a team of great new musicians, John Kassetas at the tenor & soprano sax, Stathis Paraksevopoulos at the contrabass and the rising new drummer Christos Tzerpos.

“In a decaying society, art, if it is truthful, must also reflect decay. And unless it wants to break faith with its social function, art must show the world as changeable. And help to change it.”
