Treno sto Rouf and Tatiana Ligari continue their innovative initiative in public hospitals across Attica

Following last year’s warm reception and the moving feedback from patients, companions and healthcare professionals, the innovative programme “Health & Art Allies” continues this year in public hospitals across Attica.

At the heart of the initiative is the theatrical performance “Luckily, Happiness!” by Giorgos Galitis, directed by Tatiana Ligari, which was written and specifically designed to respond to the unique conditions of hospital environments. Through humour, live music and active participation, the performance creates a different space for connection and expression, demonstrating in practice how Art can become an act of care and emotional empowerment. At the same time, it offers patients, companions, caregivers, doctors, nurses and healthcare workers the opportunity to step away, even briefly, from the demanding reality of hospital life.

Each performance is followed by an open discussion, where audiences and members of the creative team share their thoughts and emotions. This process strengthens the sense of community, contributes to emotional resilience and highlights the importance of Art during times of adversity.

To date, performances have been presented at the Oncology Centre and Artificial Kidney Unit of “Attikon” University General Hospital, the “Agios Savvas” General Anti-Cancer and Oncology Hospital of Athens, the “Nikos Kourkoulos” Day Care Centre, the “Georgios Gennimatas” General Hospital of Athens, the Public School of Higher Vocational Training of “Georgios Gennimatas” General Hospital, as well as the Department of Nursing of the University of West Attica.
