Glitter Grotesque plays jazz, cabaret and film songs with dark influences. The band combines the glamour of the Hollywood vintage era with the darkness of film noir aesthetics. It loves themed lives in atmospheric spaces, adjusting their composition and setlist according to the creative needs of each event.
For the performances in the Railway Carriage Theater to Treno sto Rouf, Glitter Grotesque consists of Ioanna Noir Zacharopoulou (vocals), George Lagogiannis (Vocals/ piano) and Chris Koutsogiannis (Voodoo Drummer) (drums).
During its musical career, the band has appeared in many concert/theatrical venues in various cities of Greece and has collaborated on stage with local artists.
Just before Halloween 2023, Glitter Grotesque released (on all music platforms and CD) their debut dark cinematic jazz album titled "What Really Happened to Baby Jane".
(Two songs from which Galaxy 92fm radio station chose for its festive program, the 2023-24 Christmas season.).
This concept album is inspired by the psychological thriller of 1962 (starring Bette Davis and Joan Crawford): "What happened to Baby Jane?" (What Ever Happened to Baby Jane?). A landmark film of American cinema, which describes the fall of Baby Jane from a beloved child of vaudeville, to an elderly caricature of herself, along with the complex relationship with her sister (Blanche).
