a rare musical journey in all the historic ports of the Mediterranean
in 16 languages and dialects

Greek, French, Italian, Spanish, Arabic, Turkish, Palestinian, Sephardic, Hebrew,
Albanian, Cypriot, Lower Italy

The Railway Carriage Theater to Treno sto Rouf and the actress-director Tatiana Ligari suggest a musical journey dedicated to the Mediterranean, the sea with 23 different faces as it rains the coasts of 23 different countries, and Athena Routsi with a group of exceptional musicians "sail" for the historic ports of the Mediterranean, Alexandria and Gibraltar, Suez and Marseille, Naples, Genoa, Bosphorus, Haifa, Piraeus and many more.

“Mare Nostrum” is our sea, the Mediterranean Sea, the sea that brought life to ancient civilizations, went through conflicts, wars but also lived brilliant days of spiritual and cultural glory. With its strategic position and mild climate, it became the springboard for the development of navigation to all lengths and breadths of the earth. For centuries, the same warm wave, the same sea breeze unites and divides people with different languages, religions and cultures, but with the same strong temperament and the same love for exploration and traveling in its endless blue.

This sea gave birth to music and melodies watered by its saltiness, grafted with the anticipation of love and reunion, painted with the colors of joy and feast but also of nostalgia, wandering and the unbearable pain of migration and foreign lands. Unexpectedly familiar melodies that we all recognize and move us, because they touch our inner soul, our common origin - our Sea, the Mediterranean Sea.
