On Wednesday, April 5 at 12:15 p.m., a historic memorial service for the victims of the Holocaust will take place at the venue of the Railway Carriage Theater to Treno sto Rouf.
In April 1944, trains departed from Rouf Railway Station carrying our Jewish fellow citizens from Athens and other Greek cities to the extermination camps. The same site, deeply charged with historical memory, now becomes a place of reflection and tribute, recalling one of the most tragic chapters of modern history.
The speakers at the event will be:
The representative of the Jewish Community of Athens, Mr. Aris Emmanouil
Professor of Public History at Panteion University, Mr. Theocharis Athanasiadis
Educator and Member of the Board of the Glinos Foundation, Mr. Kostas Therianos
