Poirot – The Labours of Hercules
The new interactive comic mystery musical by Tenorman
Following the success of last year’s production The Hundred Years of Pablo Étienne Beauvoir, internationally awarded performer Giorgos Tziouvaras – Tenorman returns to the Railway Carriage Theater to Treno sto Rouf with a brand-new interactive comic musical.
Inspired by Agatha Christie's novel The Labours of Hercules, this new music-theatre production brings the world’s most famous detective to Greece, in a delightful mystery that unites two beloved sleuths of crime literature: Hercule Poirot and Inspector Bekas, Greece’s most iconic fictional detective.
The notorious criminal Marascaux – a wanted con artist and murderer – has stolen 11 paintings depicting the Labours of Hercules. His next target is the twelfth: The Cretan Bull by Pablo Picasso, which happens to be located on the island of Crete. Poirot is joined by his Greek ally, Inspector Bekas. A murder will, of course, take place – because wherever Poirot goes, crime follows – and among the suspects is a parade of eccentric characters: a wealthy English widow and her daughter, a Japanese doctor, a Russian hypnotist (rumored to have hypnotized Rachmaninoff), a sheikh football-club owner and his famous soprano wife, high-profile Greek actors and politicians. And of course – the butler, the most suspicious of them all.
The show is an interactive musical cabaret that blends rock, pop, jazz and opera with outrageous humor and noir atmosphere. The audience doesn’t just watch – it takes part, assumes roles, and investigates. Some will be witnesses, others suspects... one will be the murderer! Featuring multilingual songs, surreal twists, and Tenorman’s magnetic stage presence, Poirot – The Labours of Hercules is an original musical full of surprises and nostalgic flair.
Every performance features a surprise guest star live on stage.
